JURORS

George Frentzos is an award winning cinematographer, as well as a founding member and president of the Greek Society of Cinematographers. He has worked in – among others, I Dream Of My Friends and The Fruit Trees of Athens (dir. by Nikos Panayiotopoulos), It’s A Long Road (dir. by Pantelis Voulgaris), J.A.C.E. (dir. by Menelaos Karamaggiolis). He has been awarded for the short films Styx (dir. A. Roider), Mad Dogs (D. Papaioannou), The Weight Of The Sea (K. Alevizos).

Ο Γιώργος Φρέντζος είναι βραβευμένος κινηματογραφιστής, καθώς και ιδρυτικό μέλος και πρόεδρος της Ένωσης Ελλήνων Κινηματογραφιστών. Έχει εργαστεί – μεταξύ άλλων – στις ταινίες: Ονειρεύομαι τους φίλους μου και Τα οπωροφόρα δέντρα της Αθήνας (σκηνοθ. Νίκος Παναγιωτόπουλος), Όλα είναι δρόμος (σκηνοθ. Παντελής Βούλγαρης), J.A.C.E. (σκηνοθ. Μενέλαος Καραμαγγιώλης). Έχει βραβευτεί για τις ταινίες μικρού μήκους Styx (σκηνοθ. A. Roider), Mad Dogs (Δ. Παπαϊωάννου), The Weight Of The Sea (Κ. Αλεβίζος).

Ludovica Fales is an award-winning film director and a programmer for the documentary film festival Festival dei Popoli. She has directed a number of feature and short documentaries including the Canterbury Tales, The Real Social Network, Letters from Palestine and the latest LALA. Ludovica is also a university lecturer in experimental documentary cinema and new media practices.

Η Ludovica Fales είναι βραβευμένη σκηνοθέτις και μέλος της ομάδας προγράμματος του φεστιβάλ ντοκιμαντέρ Festival dei Popoli. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει πλήθος ντοκιμαντέρ μεγάλου και μικρού μήκους, μεταξύ άλλων – το Canterbury Tales, το The Real Social Network, το Letters from Palestine και προσφάτως το LALA. Η Ludovica είναι επίσης πανεπιστημιακός λέκτορας με πεδίο έρευνας το πειραματικό ντοκιμαντέρ και τις πρακτικές των νέων μέσων.

Eleftheria Thanouli is a Professor of Film Theory at the Department of Film at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and President of the Board of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. She is the author of four monographs: Post-classical Cinema: an International Poetics of Film Narration (2009), Wag the Dog: a Study on Film and Reality in the Digital Age (2013), History and Film: A Tale of Two Disciplines (2018) and A Guide to Post-classical Narration: The Future of Film Storytelling (2023). Since 2018 she directs the Laboratory for the Study of Greek Film and Television at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Η Ελευθερία Θανούλη είναι Καθηγήτρια Θεωρίας Κινηματογράφου στο Τμήμα Κινηματογράφου του ΑΠΘ και Πρόεδρος του ΔΣ του Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης. Είναι συγγραφέας τεσσάρων μονογραφιών: Post-classical Cinema: an International Poetics of Film Narration (2009), Wag the Dog: a Study on Film and Reality in the Digital Age (2013), History and Film: A Tale of Two Disciplines (2018) και A Guide to Post-classical Narration: The Future of Film Storytelling (2023). Από το 2018 μέχρι σήμερα διευθύνει το Εργαστήριο Μελέτης Ελληνικού Κινηματογράφου και Τηλεόρασης στο ΑΠΘ.

Alexandros Skouras is a director and screenwriter. His films have been presented in many festivals in Greece and abroad and have received important distinctions, including – Golden Dionysus at the Drama International Short Film Festival for the film Cube (2016); Best Screenplay Award at the Athens International Film Festival for the same film; Silver Dionysus for the film Harmonica Man at the Drama International Short Film Festival.

Ο Αλέξανδρος Σκούρας είναι σκηνοθέτης και σεναριογράφος. Οι ταινίες του έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε πολλά φεστιβάλ στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό και έχουν λάβει σημαντικές διακρίσεις, μεταξύ άλλων – Χρυσό Διόνυσο στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ταινιών Μικρού Μήκους Δράμας για την ταινία Κύβος· βραβείο καλύτερου σεναρίου στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Αθήνας Νύχτες Πρεμιέρας για την ίδια ταινία· Αργυρό Διόνυσο για την ταινία Φυσαρμόνικα Μαν στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ταινιών Μικρού Μήκους Δράμας.

Evi Karampatsou, documentary film director-producer. She has worked as a documentary filmmaker in Greece, Cuba, Japan, Chile, and for the United Nations in Rwanda. Her documentaries have received several awards in Greece and abroad, including the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the Drama International Short Film Festival.

Η Εύη Καραμπάτσου, σκηνοθέτης- παραγωγός ταινιών ντοκιμαντέρ. Εργάστηκε ως κινηματογραφίστρια ντοκιμαντέρ στην Ελλάδα, Κούβα, Ιαπωνία, Χιλή, καθώς και για την επιτροπή του ΟΗΕ στην Ρουάντα. Τα ντοκιμαντέρ της έχουν διακριθεί με αρκετά βραβεία στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, μεταξύ άλλως στο Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης και το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ταινιών Μικρού Μήκους Δράμας.

Aristarchos Papadaniel is an awarded Greek director and cartoon creator. Author of the book Greek Political Caricature. The Serious Side to a Funny Art. Creator of the Pocket Cinema flipbook series and A Comics Artist on TV poster book. In 2005 he co-founded the creative studio/production company Syllipsis Ltd. Co-creator of the 1st Greek educational animated TV series A Letter – A Story. Co-editor of the edition 70 Years of Greek Animation. Founding member of ASIFA HELLAS Hellenic Animation Association.

O Αρίσταρχος Παπαδανιήλ είναι βραβευμένος Έλληνας σκηνοθέτης και δημιουργός κινουμένων σχεδίων. Συγγραφέας του βιβλίου «Ελληνική Πολιτική Γελοιογραφία – Η Σοβαρή Πλευρά μιας Αστείας Τέχνης». Δημιουργός της σειράς φυλλοσκοπίων «Σινεμά Τσέπης» και του poster book «Ένας Κομίστας στην TV». Το 2005 συνίδρυσε το δημιουργικό γραφείο και εταιρεία παραγωγής SYLLIPSIS. Συνδημιουργός της πρώτης ελληνικής εκπαιδευτικής σειράς κινουμένων σχεδίων «Ένα Γράμμα Μια Ιστορία». Συνεπιμελητής του βιβλίου «70 Χρόνια Δημιουργίας Ελληνικών Κινουμένων Σχεδίων». Ιδρυτικό μέλος της ASIFA HELLAS Ελληνικής Ένωσης Κινουμένων Σχεδίων.

Dimitris Katsimiris is a writer and director in cinema and theater. He has directed three award-winning short films, Birthday (2016), ‘Mum, I’m back (2017), Fake News (2018). His first feature Dignity (2022) won the Audience Award at the 63rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

Ο Δημήτρης Κατσιμίρης είναι σκηνοθέτης και σεναριογράφος στον κινηματογράφο και το θέατρο. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει τρεις βραβευμένες ταινίες μικρού μήκους: Γενέθλια (2016), ‘Mum, I’m back (2017), Fake News (2018). Η πρώτη μεγάλου μήκους ταινία του Με Αξιοπρέπεια (2022) απέσπασε το βραβείο κοινού στο 63ο Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης.
