In the near future, as the United States faces an ongoing pandemic, civil unrest, and growing unemployment, Clare, a pregnant waitress in need of healthcare, and her friend Sara endeavor to cross the closed US-Canadian border by foot. Unfortunately, the guide they hired online, ‘Coyote’, is a useless stoner and the trio becomes hopelessly lost in the wilderness, walking in circles. As night approaches, Clare and Sara become very tired, cold, and hungry as they are forced to find the border themselves. Just when they think they’re safe to cross, they’re forced to reckon with strangers lurking in the woods.
